“The Windy Mile” is perhaps the most frightening fragment of road in Jackson Hole. Sure, Teton Pass has a 10% grade, knife-edge turns, dented guard rails, and a colony of skiers trying to hitch a ride as their skies protrude into the driving lane, but at least it’s relatively sheltered from the wind.
Parking in Teton Village can be quite the battle. Take extreme caution when making a right out of Skyline onto WY-22, especially if you have not taken a visit to Big-O-Tires. These three unlucky drivers found themselves unable to steer clear of the ditch ahead and in some cases were 20 - 30 feet off the road.
Staring at the Grand on any given day simply puts things into perspective for me. That's my reason why I left NY, the finance world, the stress, and moved out here. This place is special, and everything around here is a constant reminder of it.
Ski tickets are expensive as is. You do not want to purchase them at the Ski Ticket Window. By ordering online you can save roughly 8.25%. The savings only go higher as you extend the number of days you plan on skiing.
There is plenty of speak these days about how blowout economic numbers hurt the equity markets. People have coined this mornings' job report to support strong equity performances. They prefer a 'goldilocks' number, one that is not too strong, and not too weak.
